The Brownie Troop that I co-lead baked 576 cookies for our Marines in Iraq

All the Girl Scouts in MasterPlanistan combined to bake over 21,000 cookies for our service men and women. They were all delivered to Camp Pendleton this morning to be shipped over to Iraq.

3. Of course.

K and I baked about 8 dozen cookies. Each girl was supposed to bake 4 dozen cookies, but there were girls that could not, so some of the girls took up the slack.

7. It was cool.

At our meeting last week we had the girls each bake their first dozen cookies. So each girl was only responsible for three more dozen in order to earn the patch.

The cookies were stored at my house since I am the only one who has a freezer large enough for all the cookies. All I had to do was bake K's share (I baked more than K's share but that is another story) and be available when everyone was ready to drop the cookies off to be frozen. Of course I had to count them to make sure we had enough for all the girls to get the patch.
