We're here. It's not conventional and I doubt the sex would be anything to write home about, but I think we all provide some lively discussions here on DU...

Anywhoo, I've been alone most of my life and also got dumped by someone I cared for, so I know how you feel... One gets used to it and while some say those with no dating history must have something wrong with them, those particular bigots can go and shove it too. Dunno why I said that; I have a dating history and it's as much a part of my life as anything else, I refuse to give it special circumstance, be dominated by it, or let anyone think that because mine doesn't match how most people date means I'm some sort of deformed vermin. Indeed, of the two relationships I had, one person - albeit 7 years later - called me back. So I'm not as much of a red-flag-on-legs as some might summarily choose to believe.

Sorry to sound bitter and, granted, each person's case is different and often with a legitimate context... (Incidentally, I also just came from a certain forum site where this jackass decided that anyone who's 40 and has no dating history must be full of "red flags". I'd say where but I'd rather anyone else here reading this live with current expectations and stereotypes and not be forced to think... :D )

9. I actually LOVE being alone... I can run naked through my apartment and

can sit in my underwear and watch TV! I can use the bathroom without shutting the door!
I can fry food nakid.. well, maybe not naked but I could if I wanted to!! I can watch
whatever I want on the TV and no one changes my pre-programmed stations on my car radio
and I can eat when I want and what I want and I can sleep on the couch or in the bed with
out someone whining, "Where are you? Come to bed!" and I can have my coffee my way and I
don't have to share the newspaper and....
