Theocracy Now!
Perhaps we consider fundamentalism as
"mental" but, they have been telegraphing a government takeover for many years. There is no need to quote the many statements made by Christian leaders, as we repeat the absurdities often. There is no uglier form of government, in the eyes of a fundamentalist, as Democracy. By it's precepts, Democracy,
by definition, is the will of the individual scaled up to govern the population. This ideology is offensive to the fundamentalist. The fundamentalists wants the power to come, literally, from the top down.

Now we have the highest positions occupied by fundamentalist Christians. The only way to successfully implement this takeover is to destroy the current system called Democracy, and impose the system of authoritarian Theocracy.

This administration is destroying the government purposely. All social programs are being gutted in deference to faith based programs. This places the dependence on the church for a safety net instead of government. Social Security, Medicare, Education, and the Environment are all in the fundamentalists cross hairs. People are frightened by the possibility of having no health care or Social Security. And that fear will result in more success toward the goal of this bloodless coup.

So, maybe Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson will be generous. They will control who gets what and when. Will you receive any benefit if you are an Atheist?

Just as we had warnings of the complete annihilation of the media, proclaiming that it is "Liberal", when we knew the exact opposite, we should be more concerned with the destruction of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and our lives.

2. I don't consider
these leaders as representatives of Christianity. Our Christian leaders were our country's forefathers who fought for the separation of Church and State. I really don't even consider them republicans, but neo-con infiltrators of a formerly weak party.

I do consider your predictions accurate if things do not change and change quickly. And until the Christians and real republicans unite against them, we have a bleak future for democracy. I feel the tide changing and we have the best opportunity through our voices and our actions combined with our votes in November.
