Blade Runner > Star Trek. Let the battle begin.
No sequels.

No conventions.

No expansive universe the rest of the world doesn't 'get'.

No Bullshit.

One bad ass movie with a great commentary on humanity.

Tons of extra footage to geek out over.

A few documentaries.

Fuck Star Trek.

12. I'm With You, Sym

Setting a '40's film noir story in the future and pulling it off so beautifully make "Blade Runner" my favorite.

"Star Wars"? Hey, the first two films were classics. The rest of the series---not so much.....

14. YOU!
Go stand in the corner. You're not adding anything productive to this conversation.

And, to answer your question, if Captain Kirk was a replicant, his lame ass would have been retired in the 60s. By that metric, I wish Star Trek then entire series was a replicant.

16. You've already lost the battle. Here's how.
On Star Trek, you can enter the holodeck and say, "Computer. Run Blade Runner 29 Alpha. Oh, and replace Daryl Hannah with Counselor Troi."

See, Trek already contains everything Blade Runner ever was, and then some.

QED.

19. Really?
If it's so impressive, why didn't they pull up the holodeck and say, "Computer. We're going to make a movie series and at least 10 dozen television spin off's of a campy 60's sci-fi television show that was only on for a two or three seasons. Write some scripts that don't suck. Oh and have Counselor Troi's ta-ta's pop out every now and again."

If that had happened, I might give your argument some credibility.

24. How do you think all those sucky movies got made?
You didn't think they'd really take the small screen's greatest icons and reduce them to ludicrous caricatures, did you?

You've just been running the wrong holodeck simulation all this time. It's time to return to duty--but to cleanse your palate, so to speak, let's fire up Yar On Yar 3: Fully Functional for a few minutes. You really need to see level 4, about five minutes in.

seen Blade Runner (great movie by-the-way) and I have never
met anyone who has never seen at-least-one even one Star Trek, something.

Don't say because Blade Runner hasn't returned enough...
because it could be on Television every week like they
do with that stupid Terminator movie.

How much do you think Ahnold pays the stations to keep that movie showing
on a loop in the Cali market?
