it's really, really hard for me to be PROUD of the Yankees this upcoming season. It's more like Jeter, Matsui, Bernie, and Jorge and the Mercanaries :eyes: The Red Sox so far has that TEAM sense to them, even after the failed trade for Arod--whci now I feel glad did NOT take place. So fellow DUers, should I go ahead and reaffirm my new membership to the Red Sox Nation? Or just cease and comply for the Evil mpire in NY?

BTW--I'll be ordering an eMac in about 4 weeks :bounce:

1. Personally, I'll be pulling for the Hanshin Tigers to win the Japan Series
As for the Yankees, screw 'em. There are something like 10 Japanese players in the big leagues this year, so there are plenty of nihonjin-no-senshu on other teams that you can support.

By the way, what's the difference between an "eMac" and an "iMac"?

3. my gf is from Shiga
and she told me that although she's proud of Matsui playing so well for the Evil Empire, she likes the nuderdog teams, ESPECIALLY the Hanshin Tigers--how did they screw up in the series last year?! Geez!

Currently, the imac has the flat panle display that"floats" on the metal arm, like a desk lamp (or if you're a Pixar fan, like he Luxor Jr lamps). The eMac used a 17 nch flast CRT, heavy, but still very sharp and not prone to glaring. Not to mention with a combo drive, 512 MB Ram and 80 GB HD, will run a nice $999. The eMac was probably a design Steve Jobs didn't like as much a few years back, but the education folks saw it and viola! Then the consumers like me raised hell, and now anyone can buy it

5. Yepper....
Many hearts have been broken in the shadow of the Big A. But 2002 -- and the subsequent sale of the Halos to a man who knows and loves baseball and its fans -- signal even better things to come.

9. Welcome to Red Sox Nation
George "Deep Pockets" Steinbrenner proves once again that the Yankees are the best team money can buy.

The Red Sox have great pitching this year. Pitching wins games, not offense. I think the Sox are coming together as a team also-I have been watching Spring Training reports and getting very excited!
