Somebody kill me. My Pathology term paper is due Tuesday, and I haven't even started it yet.
I'm a wreck. I keep knocking down exams, quizzes and tests and getting respectable grades. I turn in paper after paper after paper. My advisor has praised me for getting assignments in promptly and even early. I haven't missed a day of school. I arrive two hours early for class every day, and I study every free moment I get.

But I can't get out of first gear on my Pathology paper. I'm burned out. And although my Dad's latest CT came back clean, they're keeping him on chemo., and the whole family is going over to his place this weekend because he and his wife want us all to have "the talk". So I don't think I'm going to be doing much writing this weekend...

I need a hug...

:hangover:

1. And I thought my life was making me frazzled
 Take a minute to just sit back and breath for a bit, then get into your paper, any part of it you feel comfortable doing. It'll work out. If it makes you feel any better, I have a term paper due Tuesday that I've not yet started, either. :P

2. Man, I completely understand.

Here's a suggestion... journal on your topic for a little while. None of it has to really make sense, but if you sit down and just type words onto the screen sometimes that can lubricate your mind as well as your interest.

I have a paper due in a short while that I haven't started yet, either. I completely understand your pain. You'll get there... just relax your mind a little.

3. Oh good. People in my same predicament. It's nice to have company.
Especially when that company is lelapin and Writer.:hug:

Thanks. I feel a little better.

I'm going to hammer out an outline tonight, and start fresh tomorrow...

8. Here's one for you...My current life:
My Mom's ALS is getting worse, and she's getting the feeding tube put in this week. Need to line up health aides from far away, etc.

I'm presenting at a professional conference in > 3 weeks, and am nowhere even close to ready.

I also have 3 other Econ classes, and my final papers/exams coincide with the week I have to go to the conference.

I had to take a hiatus from my Internship to deal with all of the above.

I'm so tired. x(

9. This may sound like a dum-dum response
but make an outline.

It's a useful tool for making horrible papers better.

And I hope things get better for you.

Reminds me of why I dropped out in my fourth year.

16. The horrors of college papers...
At the end of the last semester of my senior year I had three papers due the same week. This required three all-nighters in a row and a whole lot of coffee and a bit of speed. It didn't help that this was during the Pleistocene era when you typed papers on a manual typewriter and made corrections with typewriter erasers. You had to fix the mistakes on the carbon paper, too. I don't know how I lived through that week, but I've never been so tired, before or since.

Good luck finishing your paper.

19. Thanks. I never take MS Word for granted. I love Spell Check. Font-changing ability,
cut and paste, insert symbols, paragraph formatting, bold-type, italics, and underlining. What a great invention. I remember having to type high school papers on a typewriter, because we didn't have a computer like all my friends did. Even if they were just the suck-ass 80's PC's with dot-matrix printers.
