Help! I need a simple, inspirational quote
to put on my business card.

This is what I mean to say, but can't put on my card: "You DO TO have $295, stop making excuses for yourself and join my training program or you and your family are going to be poor for the rest of your life!"

Does anyone have any suggestions:

* You can do it, when you decide to
* When you are ready to succeed I will help you.

1. Okay...
"Mea culpa, will get you through the finish line"

"Stop buying all that reefer. A new perspective is due"

3. Both good, but
Edited on Sat Feb-28-04 08:07 PM by brainshrub
the people I deal with don't usualy have beyond a 10th grade education. I doubt most of them would know what "Mea culpa" means. (And "My fault" isn't as apt.)

The reefer one if good, but I would get in a lot of trouble.

2. Here you go:
I know what you didn't invest in last summer.

Is that $295.00 in your pants or are you happy to see me?

Make money - not war.
(Unless you can make money off war - then make money and war)

He's not heavy; he took my course, and now he's rich.

Now you can be dumb and rich too. Just like our president!!

My other card is a Mercedes.

Pyramid schemes are great!!!

Sorry..... the Sam Adams is kicking in!!

5. LOL! I swear I'm not working for a pyramid scheme.
I work for Alliance Tractor Trailer centers. I recruit people to join the training program to become drivers.

We can help them finance the rest of the tuition, but they must have $295 to start the process.

8. Okay

I'm not trying to make ad hominems.

I'm just a little tipsy.......

However, most people who tell you to give them $295 and you'll make them rich, are pyramid schemers.

How about this one:

Act like CW McCall and get the truck outta here!
{CW McCall sang the song "Convoy")

11. I agree.
But I don't promise them that they'll get rich. I do tell them that trucking is one of the few jobs left where a hard worker w/o a high-school diploma can still earn a living wage. (Thank-you Teamsters!)

Note to self: See if I can become a Teamster now that I work for a trucking company.

21. AOL Profiles are a great source
Especially women under the age of 25 who describe themselves as "professional".

The only downside is that fully half of them say "Carpe Diem".

23. I'm passing those along to my boss
that's pretty good! The problem is that most of these people are so poor, that if they know that $300 was involved, they would not even bother looking into it.

You have to talk to them first... get them to realize that they CAN make a living doing this, then spring the $300 on them.

It's very frustrating to have them balk at the initial cost and continue a life of abject poverty, but they will buy that new DVD player.
