38. I think it was a power surge.

Everything fried. :-( I thought it was just the power supply. But, replacing that didn't work. So, I bought a used, refurbished machine from this local joint. I tried putting some parts from my old box into it, and they all failed. So, I'm guessing the whole old box got fried.

Sucks...I had a lot of things on my old hard drive that might be lost. Ugh! Maybe they can be recovered. None of it is life-altering, but it is inconvenient.

40. Yeah, for $250, I got a decent machine.

Refurbished Dell, P-III, 650MHz, 10G hard drive, cd burner and dvd drive. I'm all about the budget deals. It connects me, and is marginally better than the one that died.
