I lost my friend to a "FRAULT"
One of my good buddies recently joined a fraternity. "It'll be fun" he said.

The next thing I know, he's never around. He's always off galavanting around with his new friends at the frat. I check his IM and his away message already reads something cheesy like "Go Beta" or "Beta Theta Rules!"

I went to confront him about it. He wears the attire that they have selected for him now. Purple shirts. That's it.

He said he's considering moving into the "Beta House." Just to be a member of this "frat" you have to pay a couple of thousand dollars a semester.

So let's see: He wears a uniform, he's giving the frat guys all of his money, he can only hang out with them, and he has to live with them in their house. Hmmm...I know there's a word for this kind of club somewhere. Lemme see.

It's a cult! Or, as I like to call it, a "Frult" which is a combo of a fraternity and a cult.

Once they join, you never see them again. :scared:

1. Another new job opportunity:
Frult deprogrammer.

Man., they can keep shipping those jobs offshore, but they'll never keep up with American ingenuity.

2. Not all frats are bad
Back in college my fraternity was pretty low key. There were the kool aid drinkers who would chastise you for not having enough spirit - i remember getting into a fight with one of them.

He said something about me not having enough spirit, and I replied back that it would be hard for me to conjure up false spirit for a set of greek letters. The guy looked at me like I was talking Aramaic.

But the parties were fun, and the constant streak of sex that came along with the life was nice.

Funny how fraternities celebrate hedonism, and then most of the members quickly abandon this for lives as soccer dads and moms...

4. Is it cheaper
to buy by the dozen? Will they throw in an extra friend for free?

6. Yeah thanx
I think it's all about people who become so into their fraternity that nothing else outside of it matters.
