Love is Greater than Faith according to Paul
Fundy's like to put Faith in Jesus above all, but the Bible says that Love is greater than faith. So Pat Robertson better find love in his heart for gays and sinners or he may have a harder time making it to heaven than say a gay person or even an Atheist who loves deeply. I would suggest to Pat Robertson that to Love is to express God in it's purest form regardless of how strong your faith is. If you love just for the sake of loving without expecting a reward from God then in my opinion that is more pure than than loving out of fear. I think this is what Jesus taught but I think it's a little too abstract for most fundamentalist Christians.

Paul said in Cor. xiii Love is greater than faith and how you live your life and if you love your fellow man is more important than if you actually believe Jesus to be God. As he said:

"Though I spake with tongues of men and of angels, and have not Love, I am become as a sounding brass, or tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all Faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not Love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not Love, it profiteth me nothing...."

1. I am a straight married man with christian tendencies
but I say if two people can find love in this mostly love-less world then orientation is just a technological difference.

4. I'm glad you posted this. I've lost count of the times I've been told I'm
going to hell regardless, if I don't get 'saved'. And that my service and deeds towards people means nothing. All this hair-splitting really drives me bonkers. Is he a loving God or not? If he's going to send me to hell for using the rational mind he gave me, then why did he bother giving me one? And why am I being so decent to folks if it doesn't count in the end.
