"We Got Here Yesterday, We're Here Now, And I Can't Wait To Leave Tomorrow"- John Giorno
I got to see John Giorno perform twice and it was incredible. If Alan Ginsberg was the Chuck Berry of what eventually be known as Slam Poetry, Giorno is it's Miles Davis:

2. I love Giorno

You know how I feel about Bukowski, but Giorno's words leap off the page and just explode when he performs them live. The Miles Davis reference was intentional; John Coltrane doing the second solo on "All Blues" comes to mind, too. It's electric to experience.
