Decided not to see the Passion until....
it comes out on DVD.

I was going to see it this afternoon, but after reading the reviews posted on my local newspaper right here, I came to the conclusion that I did not want to deal with Jesus freaks and bible thumpers in a movie theater.

You see, I live in Virginia Beach, which as you know is the home of Pat Robertson and his 700 CLub, Regent University, etc, so the Christians here are of the hard core variety.

That's not to say that I am not. I nearly became a priest (Catholic), but was convinced by another priest not to pursue that avenue. His words to me were, "Brian, you'd make a shitty priest." (Actual words, never forgot them)

So, I am going to pass on seeing this movie in the theater in favor of sharing the experience with my wife, at home, in quiet, where we can pause from time to time to discuss the relevant parts. That sounds better.

4. LOL! Harsh criticism
but at least he was honest.

I'm going to wait for the DVD too. My life isn't filled with fundies so much as I'd rather give my money to the independent video store than Mel and a chain theatre.

5. I'd rather be at home too.
so if it gets too intense I can hit the pause button or turn it off. Can't do that in a theatre.

Plus, any kind of intense experience, I'm more comfortable at home than out on public.
