Hi, pretty DUers. Talk to me. Tell me about the person you love most,
or if that's not possible, tell me about the person you love who first comes to mind. It's near bedtime for me, and I'd like to listen for a while.

1. I know it probably sounds selfish but, the person I love the most is
myself. Mainly because no body else does :D :hi:

Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 11:39 PM by lizziegrace
I just think that what some people endured as children cannot be overcome. Winter's coming and I'm more isolated than ever. x(

I've loved him since the day he stopped me in my tracks. I just try and keep it buried. Safer that way.

14. I think our most difficult task, and the most critical,
is to find a way to love ourselves and love... yes!... our lives. My STBE told me, when I was completely wilted with sadness and loneliness, that I must make a home for myself, and decorate it with lovely things. Only then should I look for a person with whom to share my nest. Of course he was numb to the fact that all new people totally desecrate the nest... Ahhh. Lizziegrace, I wish you were nearer.

18. I know
deep down you're right. I have all kinds of "things" and my place is the way I want it. But as full of stuff as it is, it's empty. I didn't matter to my ex most of the 18 years I was married to him. (I drove myself to the ER once going into anaphylactic (sp?) shock. He was too busy...) I just want to matter to someone as much as they matter to me.

22. Wow. I know that so well.
Sometimes I look at my life and see that I never cared much for myself. I think I'm clever, cute-ish, sincere and occasionally charming, but I still fucking suck. Maybe my feelings have affected my relationships: the psychologist I just dumped seemed to think so.

It seems unfair that so much depends on our self-image, when it's the self-image that determines how life apprehends us...

15. I'm speechless.
What about relatives? My greatest loves are my wicked children (may they all get what's coming to them). I've gone through the dating thing and been married, then unmarried and dating again and nothing surpasses the love and comfort I get from my childran and my sisters. Nothing.

Hugs, dear man.   I KNOW that your ornery self is exactly what somebody is longing for. It's a matter of time, and you can use that time to get ready.

19. So you're in familiar territory.
Relationships do not fix anything, FWIW. They only add problems to an already tricky existence. It's strange but inevitable that we take our loved ones for granted... and in view of that, we should learn to thrive on our own.

I know. It isn't that simple.

24. Yes!
But there are a few people out there who are like you. They find people boring, but they are willing to give all they've got to one person, if it's right.

This requires more than a DU discussion. We may never have it, but I swear I know what you're feeling. I'm just a few years down the road and therefore less... idealistic. And as we lose our idealism, we lose our pride. You have no worries, my friend. (that's bitter sarcasm, in case you don't recognize it.)

I think you are a magnificent person. The fact that you are frequently angry means nothing.

13. She's a wonderful person with the same name as you
and she has two wonderful daughters... and she is struggling with health problems... and it is making me sad too.

I just told her a made up bedtime story... got into a whole pioneer kind of mode on it, me the cowboy, her the girl living on a farm in the country (both of us much younger) and we ended up happily ever after with three kids... two wonderful daughters and a wonderful son.

The thought and the presence of her makes me warm inside. A glow that knows no end. Even listening to her snore (only a little) when I bore her to death at night, makes me warm inside.

I can barely stand to be away from her and have spent as much time as I could with her recently. Thought last week that we were even done, not sure what happened there. Her health problems are rather frightening for her and me at the moment.

Anyway, she has the same name as you, which makes her extra special because you are also a person I love and will always love and think of as a dear, dear friend.

no story to tell, sorry but I'm not the sentimental type.

You are asking who I "love" the most? I don't know if you mean in the relationship sense or...well, the "relationship" sense? I love my mom, and all of my brothers and sisters to death and would die for any one of them...

If you are talking about anyone other than that...nope....I don't have a heart

I don't believe in relationships....never really dated because I hate people in general and I just don't trust them for a minute.

Oh, this one goes back many, many years and lets just say that it is founded in wisdom of the first-hand experience kind.....I can't tell you here what happened to me but perhaps I'll send you a P.M or something..it's not very pleasant

Siblings? Friends? I thought nobody loved me until I made my family aware of my personal crisis. Now I know how they feel.

Although I thinks it's nearly impossible not to find a mate without making an effort to avoid it, some of us are supposed to spend time alone. I really believe that. The challenge is not to become bitter, nor too sad. I think we probably screwed up in a past life or something.

To me, anyway. I know how dear, how thoughtfully attentive they can be. Also I know the smell of their fur, and their curious looks when one is in tears, and the way they covet the warmth of your lap, or your laptop. Waking nose-to-nose with one of the kittens is a great joy. I'm glad you and Mrs. Robeson have and love kittehs, Robeson.

72. Well, I really love my boyfriend.
He's maybe not the person I love "most" (I mean, there's family and such), but I'm not into really ranking people like that.

He's one of the most talented, intelligent, strong, and compassionate people I know. He's had to struggle for most of his life, yet still manages to be incredibly positive. I've been kind of having a hard time lately, and he's really been helping me through stuff. I don't know what I'd do without him.

74. truth be told, it's this little fuzzmonster

i love my family, i'm head over heels for my boyfriend, but this little girl owns my heart in so many ways. i got her ten years ago (just around this time of year). she was six months old and worked her way into my heart immediately. she slept with me every night when i lived at home and tried to have her kittens on my bed (i thought that was sweet but blech). i don't see her more than a handful of times a month, but, when i do, she is always making straight for my lap.

i miss having her around, but it wasn't an option for me to take her with me when i moved.

75. Love, love, love
I love my kids. There is nothing I wouldn't do for them. They come first, above myself.

The end.
