So, what did you do when you heard the news Tuesday night?
I opened the front door and yelled out as loud as I could: O- Bam-A!

Then we all shared a wee sip of Irish Mist out of the good crystal.

1. I cried tears of pure joy!
And yelled WOOHOO!

:woohoo:

And praised the Lord.

2. I started jumping up and down as if my team had just won the World Series.
In a way, they kind of did! :woohoo:

3. I was still working elections.
No, scratch that--when the official projection was made at 11 PM here, I was in the car on the way home after working FOREVER on the polls.

I grinned like a banshee. When I got home, I went right to the TV and stared at all those banners: "PRESIDENT-ELECT BARACK OBAMA." So, so, so good.

4. I went outside ...

... where there was some commotion going on: yelling, screaming, mass hysteria ... of the good kind.

I ran dead into my neighbor, who had come out for the same reason.

Then I hugged him, and he hugged me back, and then is wife walked out and started laughing.

It was pretty cool.

And then I answer the phone to hear my daughter at her watch party where everyone was screaming their fool heads off.

That was cool too. :)
