Y'know what this feels like?
Like we've lifted the garbage bag out of the can in the kitchen and we're starting to take it out to the curb. :D

2. I feel like we dodged the Biggest Bullet In Modern Times

Our republic was literally in the crosshairs, from a helicopter at that.

...and you try to carry it out real fast, cause it's sort of got some really grody stuff leaking out of it, and you really really hope the bag doesn't break, and then you get to the big garbage can and you can't get the lid off, but then you do, and it's full, and so you sort of just put the bag on top and you try to smoosh it down, and then the grody stuff gets all over your hands, and you end up cursing, and....

Oh wait. It's not like that at all. Just the first part that you said is. :silly:

8. It feels like the perfect Christmas morning...
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 04:57 AM by Jamastiene
Aahhhh,

Outside:
A light snow falling covering the ground just enough to make a nice snowman and have a snowball fight...

Inside:
A nice fireplace ( I wish I had one of those) burning ever so warmly
A nice dinner already cooked and ready to eat

Inside under the tree:
A box of guitar strings (a ten pack of 5150's - enough to last 10 weeks when I'm playing in a band)
Metallica's new CD
Courtney Love's new CD ( whenever she decides to release it...finally )
A Hole box set ( I wish she'd at least release a Hole box set, gah )
Ah, fuck it, I want Courtney Love under the tree with a big huge violet colored bow with a Lotus flower in her hair.
A nice new incense tower made of pine and stained to look like cherry, smell of cut wood still intact, ah, there's nothing like it.
A nice shiny brand spanking new Butsudan made of black marble complete with Lotus flowers etched into it and the Daimoku stenciled inside it somewhere. I just want a deluxe Nichiren Buddism starter kit...or at least an altar of some kind where I can do my mix of spiritual practices.
Let's see...What else?

To finally get another Korg A2 and one of those nice simple to use multitrack software packages that are more stable than nTracks ever was. I loved nTracks. It just wasn't very stable. Ah, hell, Pro Tools would rock if it was available for XP. If not, one of the fancy digital 8 track recorders that Fostex makes would do. I hear that MK8 model would run on batteries. That sounds like forest recordings (my favorite place to go play guitar) to me. :D

And...
of course, always, a big bag of oranges and a tape (er, CD or DVD now) of Halloween spooky sounds. I love to get one of those every year, but have not been able to find them lately. My favorites are the creaky doors and the wolves howling. Awoooooo!

Tehehe, I should have gotten drunk tonight, but I'm already  without it.

Yeah, it feels like the perfect Christmas. That was my original point. I just tend to love dreaming. As Deborah Harry says, dreaming is free. :D
