Why are we here?
I have a feeling that I know, but it's personal. I am wondering, what are your thoughts on this numbing question? Oh yeah, don't say it's related to Jesus or Mel Gibson because I won't believe you.

If you give it any more meaning, you are the prisoner of a diseased ego.

3. In America...
We're here to spend money like little ants on all sorts of products that we don't need. The ultimate goal is to make money by selling things to other people. :)

I really think we're just here to have fun. That SHOULD be what it's all about.

16. not THERE..."Un-here"...
Reichsmarshall Rumsfeld's influence is ubiquitous...

The Un-here

As we know,
There are known heres.
There are things we know are here.
We also know
There are known un-heres.
That is to say
We know there are some things
that are not here.
But there are also unknown un-heres,
The ones we don't know
are not here.

(this is also my fancy-pants way of telling visitors that my website is under ongoing construction..._

Life is about play, which is also learning, which is also the work of "fixing things."

and rocks and everything else.. We are part of the whole ecosystem; we just happen to be the ones at the "top of the food chain" and we have the biggest and most "dangerous" brains..

The metaphysical "why" is something that no one will ever pin down.. We cannot fathom a reason that does not make us "lord and master", so we created myths.. Every civilization did this.. The fact that we know we will die, is the main reason I see for this..

A dog is a dog is a dog for his whole life.. He has no comprehension that he will not ALWAYS be a dog..

Grass just grows..it does not know that something will come along and eat it.. or mow it.. It just is grass..

We are the ones who must "make sense" of everything..

There is no sense but nature.. The cellular level of everything, even inanimate objects is ordered, the instincts of wild animals are ordered.. Disorder only occurs when humans get "involved".. We create the chaos..:)

14. I think I'm here to make some kind of contribution to the world...
I literally get teachers and friends saying I'm going to be president some day, but I usually don't take them seriously.

I think we're here to live, to love, then to die. If we have time to do something, then we do it. Why it's important to contribute to society - the reason escapes me. This is an odd thing to think about before bed, and I should write down my thoughts when I do think of things like this.

17. Hey - even God can make a boo-boo - no ?
.
.
.

I mean

who woulda thot that an "intelligent" creature

would devise ways to destroy the whole planet

so much for "intelligence"

once us humans are gone

Earth will be safe again

Scary - eh?,

but that's the truth, no ? Us humans ARE the biggest danger to this planet . . . .

omg - time to stop thinking again - where's my remote . . . .
