I am looking at applying for a job and it says I need to possess "a driving abstract". What the hell does that mean?

Editied - that should have been DRIVING absract not diving abstact.

2. It simply means you gatta go to the police dept of your city for a written
history of your violations. A clean record takes you to the next step
prolly the interview or exam.
