Poll question: 'Thank You' card / note after an interview...Yes or No
Assuming you want the job, do you send a thank you card, note, or email after an interview?

1. As a frequent interviewer of potential hires
I can say that those who do stick out in your mind. If two are close in capabilities, etc, that can be the thing to push you over the top.

2. That's what I've always done
Was told earlier today that it was odd...

3. It's the courteous and professional thing to do
As an old fogie going through interviews now, I carry a packet of thank you cards and envelopes with me to send out after the interview. It shows professionalism and plain good business etiquette. I'll send them out even if I thought I sucked badly at the interview.

4. Definitely send a card/note.
And not only thank them, but reiterate your interest in the job.

I've interviewed tons of people, and believe me, it makes a difference.

5. ALWAYS send a note. A handwritten, personal note. Not an email.

7. Yes...
I once had the best interview of my life for a job I really really wanted and I didn't know I was supposed to send a thank you note. I'm pretty sure I didn't get the job because of that.
