Running virus checker - two viruses found so far!
Woo hoo! Yay virus checkers!

using AVG, natch.

(stupidly have gone almost a month without checking due to temporary incompetence on my end, though I have a feeling the viruses are being found in recently downloaded files that are part of the stupidity wash of usenet and which I wouldn't ever open anyway)

1. I can beat that
On Wednesday, I ended up with almost 7,000 infected files in one day! Stupid virus came in a message from my boss, so I thought it was a "real" email. OUCH!

2. Holy crow!!
I'm glad I don't use an email client full of security flaws and other stupidities.

but then again, if it comes from someone you know and trust, one might be tempted to open it anyway.

But when unsure, I always ask.

Hope you got the bloody things all cleaned up!

4. Yeah, mine is now
dangit.

I changed some stuff about a month ago, and failed to put stuff back where it belonged. :-)

5. Only one bad thing about it
I'm lazy about the updates. I usually let it go about 10 days past the update. But it even got rid of the Mydoom virus. Best suggestion anyone ever gave to me. :)

6. Yeah, that was my problem
Hadn't been updated for over a month. it wasn't that I wasn't checking, it's that I killed the updating capability.

Damn me.

it's about 3/4 of the way through checking, and still only 2 viruses.

I can't wait to kill 'em!
