Should I worry about a drug test?

I have applied for and interviewed for a job which I'd like to get. Two weeks ago, I had a first interviewed, last week I had a second interview, and this coming week I have a third interview and psych exam. In the first interview, they told me that this was the interview process. They are flying in the shrink for me and one other candidate, although I was told that I was the top candidate. They never said anything about a drug test although they were upfront about the psych test.
This is a small privately held corporation which I do not wish to name. I do not know anyone who works there that I have not met through the interview process. The people who I know who might know someone who works there, work for my current company and I don't know them well enough to trust them either with the information that I might be leaving the company soon or such a thing might be a concern to me.
They wouldn't fail to disclose that fact, would they if they tested? Should I lay off the pot this weekend anyway?

they'll probably spring for the $15 drug test(or however much it costs).

I would get that pissing tea thingy. Sorry i can't remember the actual name but it does give the appearance of being clean at least for that day. It takes about 2 weeks to get it out of your system since the last time you had some. Don't ask me how I know. :evilgrin:

Go with one of those beat the test drinks to help make sure I pass. I am not confident enough though in their reliability to smoke up until the day of the test.
My friend did pass his drug test one week after his last smoke after consuming 1/4 ounce duting the week before using a drink. I don't smoke that much but better safe than sorry I suppose.
I don't know if springing a drug test on the two candidates that they are paying for a professional psych evaluation, complete with travel expenses, would really be in their best intersts (We might both be drug users although we might both be crazy too). I suppose that it is better to be safe than sorry. You never know what their philosophy is.

And is it watched? If it's an unmonitored urine test, one option is substitution. There are several companies online that sell non-synthetic urine. Yup. Non-synthetic - the real stuff. The urine is tested for all drugs possible, to make sure that nitrates, sugars, and other levels are all perfectly normal.. and then it's bagged and shipped to you frozen for about $50. Do a search online for "urine for sale" or something like that.

When you submit the urine at the lab, the only real thing to worry about is that it's somewhere between 94 and 100 degrees. All of the urine online comes with pocket heaters so that you can maintain proper temperature. Of course, you can also crotch the bag and maintain it at about body temperature. Pretty easy. I've never heard of anyone being busted for substitution.

Like I said, they never mentioned a drug test. Some companies around here do drug tests. Many of these companies that test are upfront about that somewhere in their publically available information like their website. I applied to this company through an advertisement. Many ads from this same source do say something like drug free environment or required to pass a drug test if that is required. Others mention it in the interview. I don't think they are required to do so though but usually do to avoid having to test people who they cannot hire due to their policies.
The two drug urine tests that I had at other places did not require being watched.
My husband did suggest this as a possibilty and said that as a female that it should be easier to hide it and keep it at temperature.

No, I don't think that any potential job would be worth that. I hope that it isn't a hair test. Even if I didn't smoke pot, I probably have been exposed to enough second hand pot smoke to test positive. Should I get some hemp based shampoo and blame it on that?

If they're flying in a shrink instead of having you take one of the four hundred gazillion web-based tests, they're going to want hair.

Your best hope is that the other person is a pot smoker, too, and they'll pick you, since they said you were their top choice.

10. Simple question.....

If you do drugs, you should worry. However, if you have had a psych. test, they know if you do drugs or not anyway. Jesus, are you going to work for the CIA?

It is a management position. My potential future boss said that they did the psych evaluations now because they had "problems" with a couple people in the past.
You know maybe that's part of the test. They'll ask if I ever did drugs and if I fail their drug test, they'll know that I am a liar and cannot be trusted.

14. just for the record... a weekend doesn't make a difference

if it's a hair test it'll already be in there... if it's a urine test, you have to detox for a month, or two weeks if you hydrate and take alot of goldenseal.
