Morgan Freeman is in a lot of movies.
I swear, every other movie in my Netflix queue has Morgan Freeman. At one point, he was two of the three movies I had. This is very strange. And it doesn't seem to matter which genre; he is in it.

1. He's like an inverse Christopher Lee.
Christopher Lee is the tall, slender elderly man who's been in every B-movie ever. And Freeman is the tall, slender, elderly man who's been in every A movie ever. :P

2. ah, interesting analogy
now wouldn't it be awesome if Freeman played a psycho serial killer in a new movie?

thats like another thing i always wanted to see in a movie: a really innocently looking but totally ruthless woman dark jedi. Maybe someone like Liv Tyler who has the ability to look very sweet and unassuming, but just goes crazy evil. (not sure if she could pull it off but you get the idea :D)

4. They had one in the Clone Wars series, and she came back in the CG movie.
But she didn't look all that innocent to begin with. She looked more like a female Darth Maul.

6. well i thought Darth Maul was awesome
he was by far the most interesting character in Phantom Menace (IMO) I think they didn't give him any lines cause he was a martial artist and not an actor. I was really disappointed when he died. I think to make a story interesting you need sympathetic villians, and we never heard Darth Maul's story. (i would argue Sidious was sympathetic in some ways)

12. And the lines he did have were dubbed over by somebody else.
I guess they thought he wouldn't be as scary with a cockney accent. :P

16. Killing Darth Maul was one of the (many) dumbest moves Lucas made in the Prequel Trilogy
It would have been much better to build Maul up through the three films and have a massive showdown between Anakin and him in the third, still followed by Vader's battle with Kenobi.

Instead, Lucas did what he always does, and he fucked it all up.

8. You know what?
I think Liv Tyler would be amazing in just that role you described. If she can actually do evil, that would be one prequel I'd be all about. :D

3. In my opinion, he's one of the best actors out there. And THE best voiceover
talent since James Earl Jones.

I never tire of Freeman.

9. Se7en and Unforgiven
What you say is true, but I'll be forever grateful for his acting in Se7en and Unforgiven. I think he has done some fantastic work.

15. You see, to me Michael Caine is a great actor
Edited on Mon Oct-27-08 07:41 PM by Taverner
When he stars in a bad movie, it gives him practice that helps him when doing a good movie.

Marlon Brando was too selective, and he stagnated as an actor.

Michael Caine was able to learn from a bad movie, lessons that would help him in a good movie.

Working actor = great actor
