8. The American President
Shepherd: You're attracted to me, but the idea of physical intimacy is uncomfortable because you only know me as the President. But it's not always going to be that way, and the reason I know that is there was a moment last night when you were with ME, not the President. And I know what a big step that was for you. So, Sydney, I'm in no rush. Here's my plan. We're going to slow down, and when you're comfortable, that's when it's going to happen.

(Sydney emerges from the bathroom wearing nothing but one of his shirts)

Shepherd: Perhaps I didn't properly explain the fundamentals of the slowdown plan.

14. Great dialog in that film
One of my favorite scenes. Lewis and Kodak are standing in front of the White House Christmas Tree arguing about approval ratings while Christmas music plays...

Robin: Guys, we haven't slept for three years. Can't we take this night off and enjoy each other as friends? It's Christmas.
Lewis: It's Christmas?
Kodak: You didn't get the memo?

It seems older than 13, somehow. Maybe because it feels like a Capra film.

Not sure if you could call "Once" a comedy. Probably not, but I loved it. And I thought little things in it were very funny.

60. "You betcha, baby!"
Great cast, great screenplay, great use of locations, and of course lots of fun with costume and art direction.

Best of all, it really was the sort of thing Hollywood would have made back in the day. The rights to the novel were sold back in 1939, and it only took close to seven decades to get this movie made!

59. Three-way tie, if I use U.S. release dates...
I'd say Enchanted April, Sense and Sensibility, and Persuasion. The latter two aired in the States in 1995, and the first arrived here about 1993, I think. Great movies, every last one of them.

And every last one of them was based on a novel by a woman, which ought to tell you something as well.
