I don't know if I can go back there now. Should I write to them? http://www.cafebravissimo.com/

2. Absolutely

Our family always votes with our wallet. Always.

And just think how fun it will be to wear an Obama hat/shirt/pin into there for the first time after the election.

3. Oh man, I'm HOPING that I'll be able to do that
I'd order as little as possible and spend a long time sitting there. I'm just worried that the MSM is bracing us for ANOTHER stolen election with all of this "tightening race" nonsense.

It really pisses me off that they put those McCain-Palin signs up. I prefer to eat locally, but now I just can't be comfortable there anymore. This is a BLUE neighborhood, so it can't be doing them any good!

4. I have it worse
The gas station where my mechanic works has a bunch of them. I depend on this guy to keep my old junker running: he's honest, and does great work. You can pass on a latte, or a grilled cheese sandwich. Not so easy when it's an alternator you need. I suspect the employees there don't share the owner's political views, since they give me free coffee there when I wear my Obama T-shirt.

5. Yep, that truly sucks
it's tough to find a good mechanic. I hardly ever go out to eat (and I've never wasted money on a latte), but that cafe is within walking distance of my house, so it's the place of choice to take out of state visitors for some local food. I just can't imagine that the owner can have done BETTER under the repugs than they did under Clinton (when the place was always packed). That's the thing about mechanics; people need their cars fixed, no matter what. Other businesses are being hit hard by the BushCo/ McCain recession, and the rest of us are feeling it!

6. Go to McD's
I'm on a French Fry kick right now, and they chemically engineer the best fries.

there are a few places i no longer go or go more rarely due to their
political stance

it is not so much i am boycotting. is it wrong to buy american?
is it wrong for a black to support black owned business?
I support those whom i choose to support.
I vote every day--with my wallet.

9. There are plenty, but only about three non-chain restaurants
within walking distance of my home. This one is a neighborhood favorite for most folks around here, so we were shocked by the owner's colossal stupidity.

Similarly, a small local chain called "Pebbles" went out of business down here after they plastered their landscaping with pro-Bush, pro-war signage. When I asked a hostess why they had decided to make such a show of support for Bush's war on a country which had nothing to do with 9/11 she started to squeal "WE SUPPORT THE TROOPS!! WE SUPPORT THE TROOPS" like a manic. I said that I did too, which is why I opposed sending them into battle for oil profits. Then we left and never returned after 12 years of giving them our business. They shuttered their doors about six months later. I guess we weren't the only ones who felt that way about their obnoxious pro-Bush BS!

8. stop going there
I would. If you want to send a message, let them know that you aren't going to spend your money there anymore, and why.

10. I know I won't be able to eat there again
I'm just debating about how I should send them the message, and what exactly I should say. I feel badly for the staff there. I doubt that all of them are neocon types, and people need the employment these days!

Make yours.
