It's true! Would I kid you? Well, it was like this...Back in the eighties,we both took a summer class together at Clackamas Community College and what was cool about that was all we had to do was show up in class twice a week for three hours and we were guaranteed a "B" for the whole term at least! Needless to say, in part because way back then the buses going back to town only ran every two hours (and left campus at 25 minutes past the hour sharp even though classes didn't let out until half past), we found ourselves spending a lot of free time together exploring the woods and wetlands behind the campus. It was then, hunting for what I had told her were wild "wapiti" (an exotic term, to be sure, she had always expressed a desire to hunt moose for a reason I know I would have found odd had I found out what it was); and I, having lived in the general vicinity and thus having a greater knowledge of the local fauna, knew that although moose were not native or even present in the immediate countryside, knew there were reports of a similar beast the locals called an "elk"...
Well it's getting late, boys and girls, tune in tomorrow evening sometime to read the exciting conclusion, plus the next chapter of my scintallating autobiography, "How I Influenced People And Won Friends"
next chapter teaser: How, during a lunch date with my old friend StanLee,I spontaneously gave him the idea for "Iron Man", and how my banging my fist on the table drew the attention of a nearby busboy named "Ozzy"...
