Poll question: Most heinous '70s or early '80s mustache, music division
Edited on Tue Oct-21-08 08:45 PM by undisclosedlocation
I'll start with a couple, then take your suggestions.
Blue Oyster Cult (singer): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo2Aypi0R2c
Toto (2d singer, at least in this video): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gq4ychrRkQA
Here's some suggestions on a top 10 rock mustaches list: http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/yradish/11123/top-10-rockroll-moustaches Jim Croce probably qualifies for the Worst poll, but I just don't have the heart. Nugent would run away with the thing if I put him on just because of political affiliation; nominate him though and I'll put him on.
Pretty much the same guys on this top 15: http://www.hearya.com/2006/12/29/top-15-mustaches-in-rock-history/

Edit: As editing time is running out, I'm supplementing the suggestions from the floor with some obvious folks, and Other.

12. That's all right, nobody else is voting either
but you really should follow the BOC link and see if you're truly dedicated to the mustachioed.:)

6. The guy from Styx. Was his name Dennis DeYoung?
Godawful 1980s porn star mustache or awful waver in his voice, I could never decide which was worse. Gawd I hated Styx.

9. He's up. There was also the unfortunate perm to reckon with
although I actually like the guy, being a little deficient in taste myself.:)

13. Still, have to say that I am loving the mustaches.
I don't like all the music up there, but the mustaches are nice and bushy. :)
Jim Croce and Duanne Allman are awesome.

23. Can't argue that one, but I'd forgotten all about them
By the way, this poll is the result of watching too much VH1 Classic, or as English speakers would say, VH2. Heinous mustaches on all sides.

24. Voted for Buck Dharma (Donald Resser) of Blue Oyster Cult -
He looks like a head waiter in a terrible restaurant.
I felt I could not vote for Dave Crosby, because I have seen him without his mustache, and I understand why he grew it.
