4. I always loved the Joker.
But then, I always had a soft spot for crazies.

My favorite incarnation has to be the Batman: The Animated Series one. The Joker used to crack me right up on that show.

6. Wow, that's obscure
Last appearance I recall, Swamp Thing was examining a blood sample from him in the hope of becoming human again. That was a long time ago.

An early two-parter, and one of the greats of all time. Wow. Double Wow. Thanks to the poster; it was just great.

8. Best and worst.
Edited on Fri Feb-27-04 04:04 PM by Archae
Best (nastiest) Noah Mahn.
No super-powers, but a human genetic engineer who is obsessed with enslaving and/or slaughtering his creations.

Easy second, the evil version of "Phenix" named "Xenif."

www.extinctioners.com

These guys make Hitler look like a beginner.

Worst ones, the villians from "Captain Planet."

13. I like Darkseid's evil-fascist-planet-on-acid (Apokolips)
That makes him cooler than Thanos IMHO.

15. Arrgh Yle!
Arrgh Yle! is still tops to me in the villain department. He was Ambush Bug's arches enemy (ouch!) Him or Villian the Villain- turned to a life of crime because he is tired of people misspelling "villain."

Sigh... I miss Keith Giffen and Robert Loren Flemming.

17. Other: Electro!
Always was a big Electro fan. He's great on the Spider Man ride at Universal's Islands of Adventure.

24. No way. Turning GL into a murderous psycho? That was WRONG!
And what for? So they could have their new, "trendy" GL with snazzier spandex. I fart at DC's general direction for this travesty.

22. The Worst - Kingpin
Edited on Fri Feb-27-04 07:03 PM by earthsea wizard
Come on, Kingpin is lame. He has no powers, he doesn't have an exceptional physique (unless fat is exceptional), he isn't a Super Genius, and he isn't really all that Evil.

He's just really well connected, and extremely lucky. Are you telling me that between Spiderman and Daredevil, they can't bring down this guy?

Pshaw.

23. The Best - The Joker
Edited on Fri Feb-27-04 07:11 PM by earthsea wizard
Evil, grinning Dionnysus to Batman's neurotic, dark Apollo. (Is that too Nietzschian?)

The old "You made Me! - You Made Me First" thing? - I love it! They are so evenly matched in powers and psychology.

Crime and Justice in a cycle of karmic retribution. It just doesn't get any better.
