I'm the most logical person you'll ever meet.
The logic behind my logic: I see the simplicity and straightforwardness in everything. Ever hear of the old science adage, K.I.S.S.--Keep It Simple, Stupid? Very words I live by.

Just thought I'd share that with you all. :) :D

1. Leonard Nimoy is still the most logical I ever met...
When I was a kid, I shared a plane ride next to him when I was 10! He gave me an autograph that said "Logically Yours, Leonard Nimoy"...I still treasure it highly!

3. But how do you prevent emotion from clouding your thought processes?
Humans are illogical by nature.

Highly illogical.

6. Show no emotion, my friend.
Edited on Fri Feb-27-04 03:03 PM by Armand
Takes lots of hard work and practice, but in the end, it may be worth it.

But as far as politics is concerned, it's hard to not include emotion in everything. I try to keep it simple though. For example, let's look at the gay marriage controversy. My thought process says gay people are human, just like me, and they deserve rights, just like everyone else. Simple logic.

Another example...poverty. Poor people are still people and they deserve rights and help, right? I would think so. Simple logic again.

8. Well, in science, one doesn't want to complicate things.
We scientists look for the simplest of answers, hence K.I.S.S.

10. Actually, neuroscientists have discovered that emotion is an
important part of rationality. An emotionless human would not be very logical at all.

13. So would you be a liberal or a utilitarian?
We share the same views, but we come from different places. If I was as logical as I wish I was I would be a utilitarian, but the fact is I feel a strong emotional charge with many of my beliefs, so I guess I am just a liberal.
