Personally, I crank up the Byrds Sing Dylan just as loud as I can - especially The Times They are a Changing and Chimes of Freedom.

1. I'm cool by default.
But, I do like to crank up my Beasties, Rise Against, RATM, the Ramones. Some AC/DC goes a long way.

2. I don't know how cool this is, but when I'm driving at night in the rain,
I crank up the End Title Theme from Vangelis' soundtrack to "Blade Runner".

I think it's super-cool! B-)

Hmmm... I usually listen to Air America. The last time I remember cranking the volume and lowering the windows was when I was listening to NIN. Now that you mention it, I think I need to do this more often!

25. Maybe my age, even (thirties) --but your taste is excellent--
"Back in Black" is my ringtone! And Rush (the band, not the talkradio lard-ass) rules! I like a little Led Zeppelin in my mix (love "Kashmir"). Although true to my generation--Nirvana and Green Day are a big part of my travelling music. My favorite sing-along is Nirvana's cover of Bowie's "Man Who Sold the World." (I don't like Bowie's version, actually. Just like I like G'N'R's "Live and Let Die" over McCartney.) Oh, and I like Guns and Roses and um, Audioslave, and I don't either have a massive crush on Chris Cornell that my husband is justified in teasing me about...and what if I did...

I think they would call my travelling music the "classic rock" station where I am from.

Edited on Tue Oct-21-08 12:27 AM by Kali
(especially for the Sunday evening paseo) with this wild gypsy-brass band-Hungarian music blaring. It is kind of familiar to the more traditional Mexican stuff, with the German brass influence but it is NOT the same - it is fun to watch peoples faces react to it (and us).

Baro Baio is the name of the group.

Edit to add a shitty pic of three Tecate drinkers checking out the odd tunes as we cruised by in the opposite direction last spring in Creel.

43. Nothing specific, usually....
Edited on Tue Oct-21-08 10:32 AM by SacredCow
Although there is one of those super-mega-churches down the road from my house that block traffic so their congregation can get pulled out and/or cross the road going to and from their cars. Whenever I get stuck in that cluster f**k, I pull out something loud and annoying (preferably with understandable and very offensive lyrics). That way, they usually move the traffic along enough to let me get out of the area.

On Edit: Though it's not really my kind of music, and I don't particularly subscribe to the message, NWA's F**k the Police is an excellent selection for that purpose!
