9. Hey
If you stay up late enough, you can watch the Time Life infomercial with Peter Fonda. They only play about 5-10 seconds of each song, but those are good tunes.

Yikes, I just promoted an infomercial. :hide:

15. I do...a lot.
I looved listening to those concerts. One of my favorites was the John Cougar Mellencamp concert. That one was especially great to me. The sound quality was always so great too. It had an extra dimension to the stereo sound even before surround sound was available. Whatever it was, I loved it.

16. The old school way of collecting live bootlegs
Tape 'em off the radio. And then try to edit out all the commercials and crap with the pause button without fucking up the music. Sometimes it worked better than others.......

17. We played all 4 CD's that my sweet spouse
transferred from tape just the other day!

And, we had some folks over a couple of weeks ago just to listen to actual 33 1/3 rpm albums (we have about 1500) and any other "oldies" we could dig up, everything from Patsy Cline to Led Zeppelin. KBFH was the one that got the most raucous responses & everyone laughing.

What a ball, and what a little bit of serendipity that you bring it up on a night I have to "rest and recreate" on DU! (Been campaigning for my "folks" on a broken wrist, even.)

Ah, the good old days........ :hi:
