5. If you have never read The Illuminatus Trilogy, then drop everything and get to it.

The book is amazing. It actually affects and improves one's ability to think non-linearly. It is the most entertaining, thought provoking and creatively interesting book I have ever read. It has lots of drugs and sex; the best writing of drug effects ever; the most erotic scenes ever.
