email question...

I just tried to send out a 258 KB email to 4 friends.

It bounced. The message from the "[e-mail]" was "Your message was automatically rejected by Dovecot Mail Delivery Agent.

The following reason was given:
Quota exceeded"

WTF? This has been happening a lot lately when I try to send to more than 2 or 3 addressees.

Any ideas?

1. If the friends are all on the same ISP, it's probably that the spam system

at that ISP is set to reject multiple identical e-mail messages from the same address. I imagine you can send them all individually with no problem...

2. Try this:

Type the pound sign, the word "bypass" and the pound sign again, just before what you want in the subject line, so that it looks like this:

#bypass#

(Followed by your subject line topic, of course)

That always works for me.

3. Another twist in this thing....

I just got a thank-you for the email I sent to one of the people on the email that was returned in the OP.

It didn't get bounced?

Weird.
