So we might adopt a new kitty....
Yeah, we have 3 cats and 3 dogs, but there's 2 kitties out at the shelter we are looking at. Paul will only let me have one (and that's after giving me the lecture and the look....)

This is Heidi (who would have to have her name changed because we have Heidi-dog.

And this is Oreo.

Help me make up my mind.

1. It's impossible. They're both so cute!

I think "Hedi" might be just a little bit more adorable, though!

2. They are both cute.
But there is something really adorable about a kitty named "Oreo"...

5. I vote for Oreo. Looks like real personality in that pic.
Tough choice, though. Does either one prefer to be handled or shy from other animals?

8. How can you choose?
Both are very cute. I guess you'll have to look at their personalities and judge which one would be a better fit for your family.

14. Wish I could...
But we have a smallish house and already have 3 dogs and 3 cats. Even a 4th one is kind of pushing it.

Though if we can't come to an agreement on just one I might have to put on the puppy-dog pout.

20. HAHA
Cat, my original kitty who lived to a ripe old age of 17, used to bite my leg if I sang. I don't want to go through that again.

23. Which one has been at the shelter longer?
I had to go through the same decision recently, but when the volunteers at the shelter told me that one kitten was new and the other had been there two months already, that made up my mind for me!

26. Well, does the shelter have other cats that are the same colors as those two?
If they have a lot of torties and calicos, then I'd go for the girl. If they have a lot of tuxedos, then I'd go for the boy. You might also ask the volunteers which kitty has had more interest from other prospective "parents". I'm guessing that from the responses here, Oreo has a better chance of finding a good home with someone else. Do you have a "gut feeling" about either one?

29. Haven't met them yet...
The shelter is about 4.5 hours away from us. We're going up on Saturday to do our annual anniversary visit.

I talked with them today and they heaped praise on both kitties.
