i get my SAT scores next week

help me out here.. name some things i can do to distract myself.

1. good luck babe

did you take the acts I did way better on them, they are more rounded and a good number of schools take them

2. i did, and i kicked ass on the english

my english score was in the 98th percentile, but my math score sucked.

i've considered taking the ACT again though, because i did a two month refresher course in algebra. the part of math that i did bad on was algebra... i did well on the trig section - which is odd since i hate trig.

3. that's the way mine were - very high Verbal and Math below what I expected

I bought a study guide for the Math section (this is when classes for SAT were rare) and raised my score about 110 points.

4. i used the SAT prep book with the practice tests

i'm hoping that it improved my scores. i guess we'll see next week.

5. relax in the sense that colleges and unis are less concerned about those

scores than they were in the past. They are more concerned with the mosaic of your past, skills, experience, and cool stuff you have done in life.


SInce you have been wonderfully pro-active and innovative in your young political life, I think recruiters and college committees would be very impressed. So I guess just be thankful that you are so multi-experienced!
