Weird Cell Phone Incident

Today my cell phone (closed) called my co-worker who is in my address book but not assigned a speed dial #.
And it did this all by itself.

We were in the work truck.
My flip style phone was in my front pants pocket.
His phone starts ringing and he asks me why I was calling him (caller ID).
I said my phone was in my pocket.
He then answers it and get this...the speakerphone on my phone istarts broadcasting loudly his voice, as he speaks, while in my pocket.
It wasn't even set for speaker phone.

We kinda freaked out.
I checked my outgoing calls and sure enough he was listed as someone I just called...but I didn't.

Does anyone have a clue what happened here?

2. Happens to me sometimes, too.

I'll be in the middle of a store and my phone will start ringing...through the speaker. Turns out there's a button on the side that activates the speaker...and calls the person you last spoke to.

It drives me batty.

could be a button combo.

or you could have gotten it wet. Odd things happen with wet electronics.
