I had Pres. Carter as Hist. Prof at college and he was asked about UFOs

During class somebody asked what he had learned about the existence of UFOs while president and he said...."I not at liberty to talk about that"

What do you make of that?

A large round object that looked as if it were covered in "Christmas lights", as I recall. I've seen UFOs myself,as have most of my family and friends. I think most people have, and just don't want to admit it.

I'm not a fan of the X-files or anything like it, but I admit that I would enjoy hearing what he's "not at liberty" to discuss!

But I believe that Carter (before he was President) once reportedly saw a UFO. Anybody else remember that?

what i dont buy is the "its just military secrets" argument.
which makes no sense...

that would mean we have a vast fleet of "things"
that fly all over the world,
hovering over nightclubs in belgium and such.

and this vast fleet that goes anywhere it wants, without incident..
is the worlds best kept secret.

And what about the people who work on these things. Someone has to build/maintain/and fly these things. Think of all those people-someone would be talking (I know I would)

often the ufo naysays invoke one of these arguments:

1. its just military secret stuff.
2. its all lies, hoaxes, pranksters with balloons.
3. its just mis-identified natural phenomena.

however the data makes those scenarios laughable. tinhat
