2. Yup
It might be a sucker move but I just can not resist Star Trek, at least giving any Trek based TV show or Movie a chance.

I couldn't stand Voyager for the most part but still watched it every week.

But I'm optimistic about this new movie, a 'reboot' certainly wasn't a necessity, I'd rather see new Science Fiction be developed but the reboot looks interesting and entertaining at least.

3. Of course I am. LK says "that's not Star Trek!" and doesn't want to go
but if he doesn't change his mind by next spring I'm quite content to go without him.

7. I think B5 is a bit over the head of even a very smart seven year old.

4. Maybe not...because....
I don't like the way the company, Paramount, treated us fans, concerning "Star Trek Enterprise"...loved that one, but they didn't end it very well, and from what I know, they treated the actors of that series...very, very bad..(that is being nice) M

Actually I was a really hard core Trek Fan until that happened...

9. I will be the same age this Spring as my dear sweet auntie was when I took....
her to see Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

She loved Star Trek so....

She has been gone many years now...I wish she was still around...we would go together.

10. Hell, yes
Star Trek is a cherished family artifact for me. My dad started setting me down in front of it when I was in preschool, and I was a goner.

11. Absolutely.
Not sure how I feel about new actors playing the original characters, but I'm willing to give them a chance.

14. I will, but I wish ST would pick up where Voyager left off, take me where no man has been before -
show me some fantastic s**t, farther into the future than ever before.

For the new movie, yeah, I can't wait, but I'm a little dismayed that they decided to go back to the begining. That's what the Enterprise series tried to do. We've already been there. I want to be blown away by the status of humankind in, oh, I dunno, 3034? I want ideas I haven't considered, based on logical progression of technologies and societal evolution. I already know Kirk and Spok, and that era, not all that far from us, timewise, now.

It's not the Trek movie I want, but hell, I'm so starved for new Trek, I'll take whatever I can get.

18. Fuck no.
There's only one Kirk.

There's only one Spock.

There's only one Bones.

There's only one Scotty.

There's only one Sulu.

There's only one Uhura.

There's only one Chekov.

And these kids ain't them.
