So, the great white squirrel hunter has a new plan....
I get home from a long day at the puzzle factory and he says "I have to go to the library tonight to do some research" (first thing, he is computer illiterate, claims he just prefers to do things the old fashioned way), I reply "dude, you don't even have a library card, what kind of research do you think you need to do?"

His answer:

"I am going to read all about owls and if there is one kind that prefers squirrel over all other prey, then I am going to buy one and train it to keep the squirrels out of the garden and away from the goddamn birdseed!"

He's been gone for an hour and a half

10. I'm fairly certain that all owls are nocturnal predators.
Meaning that no owl will control your squirrel problem.

6. Uh, where is he going to find a store where he can buy an owl?
 BTW, to keep the squirrels off of a pole bird feeder, remove the feeder from the pole, slide a slinky over the pole, staple it to the underside of the feeder, sit back and enjoy! Personally, I just feed the birds and the squirrels together. Way easier!

8. He is convinced they are personally out to get him...
he used to be kinda sane! Now he claims he catches them looking in the window and sitting on the porch waiting for him when he gets home

Of course half of what he says is just being a smartass, but I am beginning to seriously wonder

12. Just tell him to buy another bird feeder
Like I said in an earlier post, he might as well just give in. Here's another shot of our friend. Hard to tell from this shot, but he actually chewed a hole in the lid, where you see his head poking out.

13. There'll be no more cats in the neighborhood.
Of course, the cats were the only thing keeping the squirrels under control...

They are fun to watch, and they love cobs of dried field corn.
