I've heard of Mark before. He is often on Al Franken's show (the dittohead) and I've heard the name tossed around at bluegrass festivals.

But, damn, I've been listening to Pandora a lot and it played one of his songs, "March of the Pharaohs"

:wow:

The guy is an absolute violin/fiddle master. :nopity:

Play the song above and tell me what you think. :toast:

1. He's amazing
I have a recording of his. James Taylor performed with him. I want to say it was part of the Civil War series soundtrack?

Anyway, you're right. He's remarkable and a treasure. :)

2. Saw him when he was in David Grisman's band in '81.
Couple times after that at Telluride.

He's also an excellent guitarist and mandolinist.

3. ANYone who can play with Grisman is to be respected.
Such an association immediately puts O'Connor into league with Stephane Grappelli and, by association, Peter Knight!

4. Oh, that's nice.
I was heavily into Windham Hill air-pudding stuff back in the eighties. This is really pretty.
