LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Making a giant leap from playing a serial killer in ``Monster,'' Oscar nominee Charlize Theron could next find herself playing a futuristic assassin in a film based on the MTV cartoon series ``Aeon Flux.''

Created by Peter Cheung, the MTV series revolved around a killer known for her extreme style, cool attitude, tight clothes and propensity for dying. The Paramount feature is targeting a June start.

I have to wonder though, will it be more liquid tv Aeon or series Aeon? The series just got too fragging weird. Plus Charlize is all wrong for the look...IMO anyway.

2. Oh, but the weirdness was part of the charm
I think I understood the show, just don't ask me to explain it to you.

3. The liquid tv version made perfect sense..

However, the other eh....

I tried to wrap my brain around it.. I saw all the episodes, it just.. was too weird. I think it went way past over the top with a lot of the sex based plots.

Off topic; have you seen what the maker of Aeon did; Reign?

It too is pretty high on the weird-shit-o-meter. Interesting nonetheless though.

4. I've seen a few episodes of Regin
I loved what I saw, but I never could catch the first few episodes. That's definitely a series that you have to watch from the very start to get. One of these days, I'll pick them up on DVD.

5. Yeah I only saw a few eps myself.
It's more "up my alley" as it were; swords and knights and whatnot.

Still uber-bizarre though.

:D

7. Nooooooo!
WTF? A live action Aeon Flux movie? With Charlize Theron???

:argh:

Okay, first off they're on crack if they think Peter Cheung animation can be turned into live action. I mean it *might* work if they got the Wachowski Bros. but then on top of they they get Charlize Theron?! My cat would make a better Aeon Flux.

8. Heather Graham better suited for the role
Or Liv Tyler.
