you are taking a poll of folks on an internet forum devoted to discussing politics, i'm unable to see any reason why this wouldn't attract a higher and different level of intellect than, say, a poll of idiots standing on line to pay $400 for a bottle of vodka at a night club or a poll of attendees at a britney spears concert

this is a self-selected group of people that is going to skew toward intelligent and educated

i was myself in the 10 percentile for my year on the sat, big deal, probably almost everyone here is

i think you are missing something very fundamental about how to skew statistics and polls

if you wanted to get a poll of average sat scores, you would need to poll people who are "average" members of the public

the bottom 50% is so unlikely to participate in ANY internet forum that they are cut out of this kind of polling process from the beginning

Studies have shown that the more education someone has, the more likely they are to identify themselves as Democratic versus Republican.

So, would it not make sense that DU would have a larger majority of people that did well on the COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE TESTS?
