I would have liked to seen made a movie on the life of Gustav Mahler with Gregory Peck playing the lead role:

1. Danny Kaye played by Adrien Brody.
"Nobody's Fool, The Lives of Danny Kaye", by Martin Gottfried is a great examination of Kaye as a complex and sometimes very difficult person. Adrien Brody would be perfect in the part.

2. Good one!
Just dye his hair red, and you've got a reasonable resemblance to Danny Kaye.

3. Is "Nobody's Fool" taken from Danny Kayes' role in "Court Jester?"
Edited on Fri Oct-10-08 02:30 PM by KansDem
If I recall, Kaye sings a song about being a court jester in which the phrase "nobody's fool" is used. Something like "An unemployed jester is nobody's fool!"

Uncanny resemblance!

7. Yes it is. Great lyrics by Kaye's wife Sylvia Fine.
Sylvia Fine wrote those tongue twister songs for Kaye that were all so witty. I'm a big Danny Kaye fan and The Court Jester is one of my favorite movies of all time.

He was brilliant in the biography mini-series of John Adams. We need a good biography of Franklin and Wilkinson would be great.

8. I've always wanted to see a biography done on Roberto Clemente

I don't know who would be good to play him, though. Any ideas?

9. Joey Ramone, played by his corpse.
It would have to stop-motion photography, obviously. :D
