OMG! I almost lost my stylist!
:wow:

I called to make an appt, and the number was dead. I go online, and find out that the salon is no longer there, closed suddenly. Ack!

I sleuth and find that some of the employees started a new salon, and I call there, and he's not working there, but they think he's at another salon across town. I call that place, and YES! He's working there, and now I'm waiting for him to call me back.

I almost had a heart attack. Brad's been cutting my hair for 3 and a half years. I'd cry if I lost him!

3. Shaddap!
I'm very attached to Brad, which is why I drive 200 miles round trip for $30 haircut.

I wish I was kidding too...

17. Maybe I need to drive around more...
My stylist is near my parents' house, about 10-15 minutes away from our apartment. She did a real nice job the first 6 months, but last weekend she went a little bit slightly turbo with the shears, and now my hair's too goddamn short. :(

I don't care if it grows back. I want it longer NOW.

12. lol... I'll let just about anyone cut my hair
it's so curly that it would take something pretty darned major for anyone to notice a mistake.

7. This is the reason why I hated male stylists when I was doing hair.
;)

Women will stick with a male stylist until he dies...even if he sucks at hair. The only thing I had up on them was that men tipped me better, and I could talk sports.

10. The nice thing about Brad is that he cuts both of our hair really well
And he's so fun to talk to. Plus, I finally got Sniffa to swear off SuperCuts.

8. A good stylist that knows your hair is important! Glad you found him!
I lost my stylist of 10 yrs to another city. So while on the hunt for a new one, I tried some others, including an over priced snobby salon. I tried two different stylists there and decided they must be training them to be dense but over-confident practitioners.

I finally started cutting my own hair. Then, on a whim I tried a little salon owned by an Asian woman who doesn’t speak much English, but she is sweet and amazing. Everyone who I see coming out of her place looks fabulous and she only charges $10.00 for a cut! I always tip her big though.

9. This is the only person in all of my 31 years that can give me a haircut
that doesn't make me look like a moron. The gas I spend to get there and back is more expensive than the haircut!

11. My stylist died five years ago
She was the only person to ever cut my hair, my entire life. Old friend of the family. It was somewhat ironic that the day I decided to grow my hair out, was the day we found out that she had been diagnosed with cancer. She died the following November, and it took me four years to feel comfortable enough to have someone else cut my hair.

A good stylist is hard to find...

19. I think whatever happened was weird
From what I've gathered, the owner just suddenly shuttered the place, no warning. For all I know, she may have taken the computer and the appt books with her and locked the place up.

I'll find out at my next appt, for sure.
