Need help with iTunes for Windows please.
Sorry, but I am used to MusicMatch. Does anyone know if it's possible to level the volume when burning a cd with tunes from various sources (for my own personal use, natch.) I want to have all the songs at the same volume. Been through the help docs and I can't seem to find the setting anywhere.

Thanks

1. Yes
Go into Edit / Preferences / Effects and hit "Sound Check" and you should get what you're looking for, for a given playlist.

in the documentation it looked like that only worked when you are playing the CD with iTunes. And it didn't seem to level the volume when I played it on my stereo. Am I being overly critical?

Thanks for your help!

I searched on Apple site, support area, JUST FOR YOU! Seriously, Apple Support web is a great resource.

Here's the screen dump:

Here's the doc it came from:

9. Ok, I think I understand what you're asking
Other than my first suggestion, I don't think there's an automatic way of leveling the sound. But you can do it manually if you right-click on a song and edit the volume level.
