So, I just put in my application for grad school
everything is in except for my resume which I'll update tonight and mail in with my statement of purpose (already written, printed out, and in the envelope). They should have everything by Thursday at the latest.

I'm suddenly so freaked out my hands are shaking.
:scared:

3. When is the deadline and what are you trying to do?
Did you remember to enclose the special green letter of recommendation from Ulysses S. Grant ;-)

4. it's a master's of liberal arts program at Johns Hopkins University
which I hope to eventually one day use to get a PhD in cinema studies.

It's a rolling admission, so there are no formal deadlines, but this is to start in the spring.

For some odd reason they didn't require recommendations (?!?) so I only sent in 3. :D

6. I guess it's funny...
I'm not at all freaked out over whether or not I get accepted. It's the finally taking the step and all the changes in my life that it represents that's got me a little unsettled.

:hi:

8. this will be in Liberal Arts
which is really just a handy way for me to focus on film studies, because there are very few film programs that teach what I want to learn at the master's level, and this program has a lot of leeway for me to push it in the direction I want.

I guess I'm most interested in how and why we tell stories.

But if it weren't film, I would probably focus on history. :hi:
