grrrr I think my monitor is broken...
I just got home from a long day at work (I worked 2 jobs today) and decided to check my e-mail on my desktop. It went out of sleep mode, the screen came up for a half a second and then the screen went black and a white light started flickering in one corner of the screen. I even tried the trusty "un-plug and plug back in" cure...nothing. All it does is flicker like a strobe light. I am not in the mood to drop 200 bucks on a new monitor this weekend

2. I'll try it, but I doubt it...
it's doing that strobe-like thing despite the computer being turned off

5. Sleep mode gets whacky sometimes
Turn it off, unplug the power for 10 seconds, plug power cord back in and restart computer.

6. If you do need a new one
check out your local craigslist. If it's not a flat panel LCD, they should be practically giving them away. Good luck! :hi:
