Which doesn't make any sense. Wouldn't there be a risk of getting tangled in the seatbelt while flying out of the car? Maybe I am missing something.

1. Interesting that they feel a reduction in nuclear bombs elevates the index
Check this out:

26 Nuclear Nations
France to reduce nuclear warheads by one third.

2. Maybe they're keen on the idea that everyone having lots of nukes is a good deterrent to using them.
Since France is reducing sotckpiles, they're inviting the rest of the world to blow them up, thus sparking WWIII.

Thinking like that made my head hurt. x(

3. The gentleman in Florida claiming to be Christ?
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 01:37 PM by PeterU
That was me.

Sorry. I thought everyone realized I was just making a little joke. Didn't think people would take it as a sign of the end of the world. What, you get a couple of beers in you, make a stupid remark, and all of a sudden you have people scanning the sky for the four horsemen? I feel like such a heel now.

Unless they are referring to the gentleman in Florida claiming to be Crist, in which case they are referring to the Governor.....

7. Were you listening to Palin yesterday?
Two things bug me severely:
-Her momentary rapturous flash at the start of her answer about the use of nuclear weapons
-Her statement about "too many people" (big smile)

People who literally wish to destroy the world are THAT close to getting into office and being able to actually do it. I knew this already, but it was technical knowledge. This has truly brought it home. How the fuck has this been allowed to occur? How deep into the system are these self-immolators? And if we don't vote for armageddon, will they simply go even further covert?

8. I think it's a symptom of a nation in decline.
People have become decadent and unserious. How else can you explain people voting based on fripperies such as which candidate they'd like to have a beer with? They don't take their duty as voters seriously. They'll vote for an ignorant novice with a liking for nuclear war because it seems exciting.

I hope they don't get the excitement they crave. :scared:
