New therapist

the first two sessions were basic info and paperwork........this time she would not SHUT THE FUCK UP about herself......I know way more about her, her husband, her roomates in college, her political beliefs( at least we agree there) ...... than she knows about me. I had a REALLY intense week and she didn't want to hear about it..........bad feeling! Problem is I am totally running out of therapist in the area who take my insurance........grrrr

1. Sadly, not all therapists are good ones.

A good one should LISTEN more than speaking.

PS. I just got accepted to a Master's program in Counseling Psychology! I'm on my way to becoming a therapist, myself.....LOL, this post is all about MEEEEEEEE!!! :evilgrin:

3. Just tell her

you're only going to pay her for the time she spends listening, and you're going to charge for the time she spends talking about herself. Should solve the problem!:evilgrin:

today I wasn't really feeling my best so I just kinda was like whatever......that sentence sounded intellegent....lol......I think she was trying a get to know me too thing......but I don't really need that.
