My first day on blood pressure medication...
Really, it's not that much different from any other day except my lips feel chapped, I'm thristy, and I gotta pee. But I have hope that if I can lose some weight through a little more exercise, maybe I won't need these pills anymore to keep my diastolic in check.

What about you? Anyone here ever get on blood pressure medicine but finally maintained good numbers after getting off the medication?

I take it during the morning with a swig of organic milk. Half a tablet for the first eight days, and then a full tablet after that. I forgot the dosage.

7. I started taking Dyazide when I was 23.
I'm 40 now and don't need them anymore. I never really had too many side effects, just had to always pee almost immediately after drinking anything.

8. If you are motivated to lower your BP, lose weight, and feel better, generally...
I have heard very good reports about this- many doctors recommend it to their patients.

9. Been On It For A Few years
It wasn't enough to not also go on Varapamil as well. But you will get in the habit of hunting down restrooms until your body "makes adjustments".
