Okay, obscure sci fi film buffs. Tell me the name of this movie.
I saw it many years ago on cable, and it probably dated from the late 50s/early 60s. Black and white. Premise of the film is that either a meteor or flying saucer of some kind crashed outside a small town, and the resulting debris got into the water supply. Anybody who came into contact with the contaminated water gradually turned to stone.

It freaked me the hell out when I was about 10, and I have no IDEA what the name of the movie is.

Help? Anyone?

That's bugged me on and off for years. Thanks for finding it for me!
