Bad Religion couldn't play here this weekend because of Elton John
x(

A local promoter was booking them to end their Canadian tour here, everything was going well, except when he went to book accomodations. Turns out Elton John had booked out the major hotels (there aren't many here, small city), and his fans have booked the rest of the hotels solid.

Needless to say, I am saddened.

which is under the TRiborough Bridge in NYC in 2005 for the Warped Tour that year. bands only played about a half an hour each for that. I never saw Elton John. never really wanted to.

5. Yeah, I don't really have much interest in seeing Elton John either, but he draws a big crowd.
So I guess he takes priority, haha.

7. i liked some of his early 70's stuff but not even that any more.
i am not a very good homosexual, I never like anybody i am supposed to. :o

i was on Bad Religion's myspace page and all I could see scheduled was a show in Halifax. I was curious to see a tour date schedule. For fun I was kinda interested in seeing AC/DC at madison square garden in November but by the time i thought about it both shows were sold out. I get in the mood for loud/crazy HUGE arena shows where the music just thunders at times. I never listen to AC/DC but like seeing them live. I saw them once before in the 80's. anyways i have been stewing over that for the past week. :P

10. Yeah, I enjoy some of his early stuff too, but have no real interest in him.

And yes, you're a horrible homosexual. :P

Yeah, there would be a St. John's date listed had the booking not fallen through. x( I'm sure the whole situation took place months ago, but I only just now found out about it.

6. I don't know how long the Bad Religion situation was being worked out...
But I guess not as long as Elton.

11. That's just wrong.
Too bad BR couldn't just play outside in a damn park.

The band The Ex was supposed to play a show in Ethiopia years ago, but the club was trying to charge too much for most people to even get in. So the band canceled the show and played for free outside of the club. Gotta love it. :)

That is a pretty cool thing for that band to do.
